Gender Equality Plan
VICESSE strives to create a fair and equal workplace. As such, VICESSE has put in place a dedicated Gender Equality Plan (GEP) to establish an operational framework for its research and management activties. Building on the stipulations and prescriptions defined in the “A Union of Equality: Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025”, the “Horizon Europe - Work Programme 2021-2022 General Annexes”, as well as Council Decision (EU) 2021/764 and Regulation (EU) 2021/695 of the European Parliament and of the Council; the GEP addresses key areas of work, namely:
Work-life balance and organisational Culture, especially in regards to care-work.
Gender balance in leadership and decision-making
Gender equality in recruitement and career progression
Integration of the gender dimension into research
Meassures against gender-based violence and sexual harrasement

Gender Equality Reports
To ensure that the Gender Equality Plan is adequately put into place, VICESSE has started collecting data and feedback from the VICESSE team. The collected information will help asses the current status of GEP implementation, as well as inform yearly actions and steps to be taken. Once the first annual Gender Equality Report has been finished, it will be made publicly available here.
